Thea Marais

Thea has headed up the Human Alliance team as Managing Director since the company’s acquisition and addition to the Growthcurve Group in 2023. Thea brings over three decades of HR, Labour Law and transformation experience to the table. In her role as Managing Director, Thea’s vision and leadership have shaped the company’s mission: to provide exceptional service and deliver strategic solutions that create meaningful, measurable business value and impact.

With a strong foundation in HR systems, HR policy frameworks, Labour Law and B-BBEE, Thea helps clients align their people practices with long-term growth strategies. She is particularly passionate about championing people, performance and purpose and evolving HR from a compliance function to a strategic driver of culture, growth, and effective and fair leadership.

Thea is known for her direct, action-oriented approach. She combines structured and strategic thinking with empathy. She translates complex scenarios and transformation requirements into practical, business-ready solutions.
