Joanna Pillay

Joanna is an experienced HR and payroll professional with more than 10 years’ experience across payroll management, HR administration, employee benefits and compliance. She has managed complex payroll operations in both South African and multinational environments, including responsibility for payroll across 11 countries and the supervision of payroll teams.

Joanna combines strong technical payroll knowledge with a genuine understanding of the people behind the payroll. She particularly enjoys improving processes, strengthening controls and finding simpler, more efficient ways of working. Her attention to detail and solutions-focused approach enable her to identify and resolve complex payroll issues while providing a reliable service to clients.

Joanna holds a BCom in Human Resource Management and is currently completing her BCom Honours. She is also a SAPA Certified Payroll Practitioner, with additional qualifications in Payroll Administration, Patterson Job Evaluation and Occupational Health & Safety Management. She believes that good payroll is about more than getting the numbers right – it is an important part of the employee experience and should always be delivered with accuracy, care and integrity.
